Omoniyi Gabriel Gilbert hails from Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. He is a full-time Artist(Painter) based in Lagos and Ogun state. He has always been inspired and fascinated by the passion for color, nature and aesthetics. He studied Fine and Applied Arts at Federal College of Education. He started art as his dream and passion by expressing himself using different materials. After several years of experience in art, he found expression in using Acrylic and Ink. He has partaken in group exhibitions and Art competitions in Nigeria and has won outstanding awards to his credits. He draws inspirations from his past and present experiences, his new body of work and style explores profound semi-abstract portraits figures of black subjects with his unique beguiling tigerline works using mainly acrylic and ink technique on canvas to depict emotions centred around life.
