Angelina A. O. Ampofo Asomaning is a visual artist born and raised in Accra, Ghana. She is from a Kade in the Eastern Region and the last born from a family of six (6)

Angelina became interested in Art as a career after her University degree from the University of Education Winneba. Around that time she was doing pencil portraiture as a hobby. Angelina started painting with Acrylics in May 2020, Prior to that she did pencil portraits on commission for about 5 months after her National Service.
In August 2020, after some Acrylic paintings, Angelina began focusing on Oil paint as her main media. Angelina a self taught artist, a motivated person, constantly challenging herself, inspired by the desire to improve with each new canvas and always ready to learn.
Her style, Afro-fem Surrealism came about as she realized some women like herself were only living their lives to please their families or to fit into society expectations. Contrary to what really gives them self actualization.
Afro-fem Surrealism tell stories of African women in the least expected ways using oils and digital paintings. Through her Art, angelina attempt to urge all women to accept themselves first, set realistic goals, and focus on achieving them at their own pace.
